If you've been following the entertainment news over the past few weeks then you have likely read about Jon and Kate Gosselin's marriage problems. Jon and Kate are the celebrity parents who star in the popular TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8.
The Gosselins became famous after Kate gave birth to sextuplets. Jon and Kate, their set of twins, and their set of sextuplets have drawn plenty of interest over the years, but the last month most of it has been negative.
It all started when Jon Gosselin was seen partying single style at a local bar and photos of him flirting with college girls hit the web. Soon afterwards he was accused of cheating with a 23-year-old schoolteacher and once again pictures and video clips of his late night activities with the woman were posted online.
Next it was Kate Gosselin who was accused of cheating with her constant companion bodyguard Steve Neild. Both Jon and Kate have denied the affair rumors although Kate seems to believe that Jon could be cheating.
While Jon and Kate fans are wondering what will become of their marriage, family members have gone to the tabloids to let the world know the entire marriage is a sham. Kate's brother Kevin Krieder and his wife Jodi who has been featured babysitting on the show have revealed that the Gosselins are already living separate lives and have agreed on an open marriage.
If these latest rumors are true Jon and Kate hasn't lived as a married couple for six months and are only staying married for the sake of their reality show. Jon even lives in his own separate apartment above the garage in the couples sprawling mansion.
If you're wondering why Kevin and Jodi would sell their family out to the tabloids it's likely due to the way Kate Gosselin has treated the couple in the past. Since Kate has replaced loving Aunt Jodi with a hired babysitter they probably feel at this point that they have nothing to lose.
The season premiere of Jon & Kate Plus 8 begins on May 25, 2009 on TLC, signs of the couples marital tension can already be seen in the promotional clips.
