When I first starting blogging I couldn't wait to receive my first comment and when I finally did I thought it was so exciting. But over time I've noticed the quality of the comments that I receive are declining. 99% of the comments I receive on all of my blogs are complete spam, just someone looking to plug a website. These comments are annoying, but even more annoying are all of the comments left from people who have not even read the blog post.Comments are an important part of blogging because it connects you to your readers and some blogger's say that without comments a blog is not truly a blog. Perhaps they're right, but I've had enough of filtering through comments (some rude, some senseless) to figure out who is legit and who is not. It takes too much time and it's also stressful! I will miss the legitimate and thoughtful comments of fellow blogger that visit the site, I have had some great comments over the past year!
