Firefighter Wins American Inventor

I was very excited to find out that Firefighter Greg Chavez was the winner of the reality T.V. show American Inventor. Hopeful inventors come from all over the United States to prove to the shows judges that their invention has what it takes to win the grand prize of one million dollars.

The emotional firefighter stood out on the show as he passionately convinced the judges that his invention "The Guardian Angel" would save lives. It is Greg Chavez's dream to protect families from Christmas tree fires and keep them safe throughout the holiday season. By placing his Guardian Angel system on top of the tree (which looks like a regular Christmas tree angel), an alarm will sound at the onset of a fire and water will be released to help suppress the fire, giving the family extra time to get out and find help.

Greg Chavez's invention now has the funding it needs to become a marketable item, and his longstanding dream of helping families has become a reality.
